I saw my Nephrologist, Dr. Ruiz, today. I love that man. He is an amazing doctor. He spent almost two hours with me just talking about my cancer and a diet that actually kills cancer cells. He said that is what they use at Cancer Treatment Centers of America. This particular diet kills cancer cells because it does not contain sugar...and sugar feeds cancer. They are researching this diet as a way to treat cancer before they use chemo. The diet is called the Ketogenic Diet. I am determined to follow it to a T....because again, I have to live for my family.
It was nice getting out of the house for a few hours today. I think it helped with my depression a little bit. Sitting at home on bed rest all of the time becomes depressing. It is not who I am. I am a mover. So, having to take it "easy" is hard on me.
So far, we have raised $150.00 and I am so grateful for the one donor! I never know if I should recognize him publicly or not, but he is an Angel. I cannot say thank you enough.
If you would like to make a monetary donation, you can do so at https://www.gofundme.com/hope4shanna. We are raising funds for anything that insurance does not cover for treatments, lodging, and travel expenses. Feel free to share the link if you cannot donate.
Thank you all again for your continuous love and support. Thank you for your prayers. They mean the world to my family and me.
